The Bermuda Gymnastics Association hosted the 2024 Bermuda International Gymnastics Challenge on March 15th, 2024. The meet was held at BGA’s St. Davids location. 28 athletes from both Bermuda Gymnastics and Quality Gymnastics attended this international invitational.
Athletes at levels Excel Bronze through Level 6 competed on all four apparatus.
Level 6 included athletes Maddie Bigley, Hayleigh Cherry, and Lexi Daniel. (all from BGA) Highlights of the meet were Hayleigh Cherry finishing first on beam and the all-around. Maddie Bigley placed first on vault and Lexi Daniel placed first on floor and bars.
In the Gold level athlete Yhari Goater-Jones (BGA), placed first in the all-around category with a score of 37.35. She also finished first on Vault (9.25), 2nd on Bars (9.2), 2nd on Balance Beam (9.45), and first on Floor exercise (9.45). Cassandra Mayers (BGA) finished 2nd all-around (36.45). She also finished first on Balance Beam with a score of 9.6. Eva Wright (BGA) finished 3rd all-around (36.35) to round out the top three in the level. She finished first on Bars with a score of 9.35. Elena Bortoli (Qgym) finished third on vault with a score of 9.0.
Competing Level 4 was Ashanti-Sarai Darko (Qgym). She finished first place in the all-around with a score of 34.1.
In the silver level, Maddie Pritchard (BGA) finished first on the floor (9.4), bars (9.65) and all-around (37.3). Quality Gymnastics Abigail Maringi finished first on vault (9.3) and second in all-around (37.25). Annie Archibald of Quality Gymnastics finished first on the Balance beam with a score of (9.65). Samantha Talosa finished 2nd on vault with a tie for first (9.3). She also had 2nd on Balance Beam.
In the bronze level, the first-place all-around athlete was Eleanor Garcia of Quality Gymnastics. (36.6) She also finished first on vault (9.2) and bars (9.3). Lily Hall (Qgym) finished first on Balance Beam (9.3), and floor exercise (9.0).

The next competition will be Bermuda Nationals.
