Morinari Watanabe, president of the International Gymnastics Federation, has predicted a bright future for Bermuda’s gymnasts after visiting the island.

Watanabe, who was in Bermuda for three days, visited the Bermuda Gymnastics Association, Quality Gymnastics Bermuda and the National Sports Centre.

He also met with Owen Darrell, the Minister of Tourism, Transport, Culture and Sport, Kimberly Charryse Bean, the director of the Department of Sport and Recreation, Gymnastics Federation of Bermuda leadership, and Bermuda Olympic Association president Peter Dunne. …

The Presidential Classic was held at ESPN Wide World of Sports at Disney World in Orlando, Florida, Feb. 14-17, 2025.

The meet hosts gyms from all over the globe. It is a huge event with 4 days of competition and over 4000 thousand athletes.

Raelyn Robinson, BGA placed 3rd all around in the Bronze level with a score of 36.875.  She finished first on Bars (9.6) and  Second on beam (9.325) 

Satya Tuzo-Smith, BGA placed 4^th on vault ( 9.55)  and 3rd on floor (9.35) also in the bronze division

Jodie Denton, BGA finished 4^th on bars (9.625) also bronze.

Silver division gymnasts from Quality Gymnastics were Jasmyne Walters (33.75 all around) , lily Hall (33.4 all around), Sasha Maringi (35.175 all around) , Siaana Seth (33.75 all around) , and Abigail Maringi (35.775).  The silver team finished 5^th as a team. 

Competing for Quality Gymnastics in the Gold division were Isabella Daniels 8th all around (34.825), Eleanor Garcia 9th all around (34.35), and Aleyah Pacheco 11th all around (33.275).  

Competing for BGA in the Gold division were Isobel Stones and Samantha Tolosa.  Samantha finished 4^th all around (35.00)  She placed 2^nd on bars (9.075)

Level 6 gymnast Cassandra Mayers (34.775) competed for BGA

Both gyms are now preparing for the Bermuda International Challenge hosted by Bermuda Gymnastics Association the weekend of April 26^th and 27th, 2025.  

Bermuda Gymnastics Association will have 10 gymnasts attending the Burlington Spring Cup 2025 May 2^nd – 4^th in Canada.

Bermuda National Gymnastics Championships will be held May 17^th and 18th., 2025

Bermuda gymnasts are competing in Kingston, Jamaica for the 1st annual Caribbean Free Trade Association (CARIFTA) Artistic Gymnastics Championships.

Bermuda gymnasts will make history by competing in Kingston, Jamaica for the 1st annual Caribbean Free Trade Association (CARIFTA) Artistic Gymnastics Championships.

Gymnasts from Jamaica, Trinidad & Tobago, St. Vincent and Grenadines, Barbados, Bahamas, Aruba and Bermuda will vie for top finishes on November 29-30, 2024.

Athletes representing Bermuda are:

Level 1: Raelyn Robinson, Satya Tuzo-Smith, Emma Wright

Level 2: Charlotte Henderson, Jodie Denton

Level 3: Madeleine Pritchard, Isabella Daniels, Sofia Cooper, Samantha Tolosa, Madison Monkman, Nicole Burrows

Level 4: Sadie Hocking, McKenna Redcliffe, Ashanti Darko, Isobel Stones, Nea Fosker

Level 6: Eva Wright

The new Bermuda leotards look terrific.

The Gymnastics Federation of Bermuda held the 2024 Bermuda National Championships on Friday, May 17^th.  The competition was held at Bermuda Gymnastics Association in St. Davids.

17 gymnasts Levels Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Level 7.

In the bronze division:

Charlotte Henderson finished first place all around with a score of 36.6.  She also placed first on uneven bars (9.4) and on the floor exercise (9.3)

Emanuella Laxx finished first on vault with a score of 9.4. 

Georgia Rose finished 2^nd all around with a score of 36.00. She finished 2^nd on vault and balance beam (both 9.2)

Indigo Kemp finished Tied on vault with a 9.2

In the silver division:

Samantha Tolosa won the all-around with a score of 37.75. She also placed 2^nd on uneven bars with a score of 9.6

Naomi Nusum placed second all around (37.65) second on vault (9.4), first on balance beam (9.65), and second on floor exercise (9.5)

Sophie Spencer placed third all around (37.55) and second on balance beam (9.6)

Nea Fosker finished first on uneven bars (9.65)

Maddie Pritchard finished first on vault (9.5) and first on floor exercise (9.6)

In the gold division:

Eva Wright finished first all around with a score of 37.4.  She also finished first place on vault (9.2), bars (9.4), and beam (9.5)

Isobel Stones finished first on floor exercise (9.4) She finished second on vault (9.0), bars (9.0), and balance beam (9.25). 

Ella Newton made a comeback from retirement as a level 7 and finished first on vault (9.2) and floor (9.3)

BGA has moved the competition from the Spring to December to help gymnasts get routines ready earlier in the season.

Dec. 13-15th at the Bermuda Gymnastics Association Gym in St. David’s.

Bermuda has joined The Caribbean Free Trade Association (CARIFTA) of English-speaking countries of the Caribbean.

Like other sports, an annual CARIFTA Artistic Gymnastics Championships will be hosted. The goal is to generate greater growth, funding and visibility of our sport within the Caribbean Community and FIG.

Nov 30 – Dec 1 ~ CARIFTA 2024, hosted in Jamaica
