Quality Gymnastics at Presidential Classic

Quality Gymnastics prepared a group of 13 gymnasts on compulsory and optional levels to represent Bermuda at the Presidential Classic 2023 Competition, in Orlando, Florida.

This event took place at the ESPN World Wide of Sports on Feb 17th to 20th, and hosted more than 4000 athletes from all over the World.

On Saturday 18th Alyssa Andrews Xcel Gold, finished 2nd place All Around, 2nd place floor and uneven bars, 4th place vault. She had a really confident performance.

On Sunday we had the girls on the compulsory program competing (ages 7 to 11yo). For Level 1 Aela Fraser 3rd place vault and 4th bars, 8th all around. Isabella Daniels 5th on beam and Lily Hall 8th on beam, these last 2 gymnasts placing on top 11 of their division. It was their first time competing, and also in an international setting.

For Level 2 Aleyah Pacheco placed 3rd All Around in her division with 37.3750 points, 3rd beam and 2nd floor. Abigail Maringi 2nd vault and 9th All Around. Madison Monkman and Annie Archibald placed top 12 All Around in their division. Sasha Maringi and Emma Raposo placed 13th and 15th All Around respectively. We got very positive feedback from the judges on their artistic presentation.

For Level 3 all of our gymnasts placed in the top 10 of their division. Shannon Fischer got 7th on vault and balance beam, and 8th All Around. Ashanti Darko 6th place on vault, 9th place All Around. Elena Bortoli 5th place on vault and 10th All Around.

This was our second competition overseas this season in preparation for the National Championships. A major competition. And a terrific experience.
